C.<\/P>\n<P>All members of the band are involved in other musical<BR>endeavors, which means we are only able to take<BR>selected dates, but we do look forward to presenting<BR>what we think is something fresh and exciting in your<BR>area before too long.&nbsp; .<\/P>\n<P>WFA on TV.&nbsp; The band guested on Tacc9\'s Downeast Today with<BR>Rick Vernon on April 10.&nbsp; Rick interviewed Carroll and Clyde about<BR>how the band got started.&nbsp; We had almost the whole one hour show<BR>and were featured on six songs.&nbsp; Lots of folks have told us they saw<BR>and enjoyed our appearance on this widely seen show.<\/P>\n<P>Clyde traveled to Ireland over the Labor Day week to play with the Malpass<BR>Brothers at the Ulster American Music Festival.&nbsp; Irish audiences are very<BR>knowledgable about traditional American country music.&nbsp;&nbsp; Clyde was honored<BR>to be asked to be a panelist at the McCauley Lecture Series which was <BR>conducted by renowned music critic Jack Bernhardt.<\/P>\n<P>SOLD OUT !!&nbsp; Our show at the beautifully restored Paramount Theater in<BR>Goldsboro on September 12 was completely sold out !&nbsp; It was a fantastic<BR>night of music with the theme,&nbsp; Best of Wayne (County).&nbsp;&nbsp; Our own Jessica<BR>Gardner is herself a native of Wayne County. &nbsp;We shared the bill with the<BR>wildly popular Malpass Brothers and thirteen year old fiddling and singing<BR>sensation, Samantha Casey.&nbsp; The show was the vision of Mr. David Weil, <BR>who has undertaken a mission to make Wayne County citizens aware of<BR>&nbsp;the wealth of talent that&nbsp;their area fosters, and to give them a beautiful<BR>setting in which to enjoy it.<\/P>\n<P>On Oct. 28, the band had the honor of performing for the North Carolina<BR>Broadcasters Association at the presigious Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill.<BR>The event honored long time counsel and our old friend, Wade Hargrove.<BR>They requested and we performed a program of Texas style western swing<BR>music, which is Wade\'s favorite.&nbsp; We even dragged him up on the stage<BR>to play a couple of tunes on the steel guitar.&nbsp; He did so quite proficiently,<BR>Thanks to Joanne Higgins and all who made it a great night.<\/P>\n<P>We had the honor of performing at Wilson, N. C.\'s Whirligig Festival on<BR>November 7.&nbsp; This is a wonderful event with multiple bands and attractions<BR>over a three day period. As usual Jim Earp and his crew did a bang up job<BR>with the production.&nbsp; It is always a breeze when we get to work with those guys.<\/P>\n<P>What a show with Joe Wright at the Ice House on Jan. 24.&nbsp; It was a stone sell out!<BR>It is said that if you\'ve seen Joe one time, don\'t think you have seen his show.&nbsp; He<BR>pretty much wings it, feeding off the crowd and he was really in his comfort zone <BR>this time.&nbsp; He loves the venue and the crowd loves him, so look for him to visit<BR>regularly.&nbsp; NEWS FLASH:&nbsp; Joe will return to the Ice House on Sunday, Aug. 8 !&nbsp;<\/P>\n<P>What a great turn out for the St. Patrick\'s Day Dance at the Galaxy.&nbsp; They tell us<BR>it is the biggest crowd they\'ve had all year.&nbsp; Thanks for your support!<\/P>\n<P>WFA on YouTube!&nbsp; We have quite a number of live videos on YouTube now, with<BR>more being posted all the time.&nbsp; This is the work of Barbara Harrell at the Ice House.&nbsp; Just enter withoutfurtherado in YouTube\'s search bar and they will come up along with other videos which have \"without further ado\" in their descriptions. <\/P>\n<P>What a perfect day!&nbsp; On Apr. 3, we did a show for Bear Country radio&nbsp; 97.9 <BR>and 98.9 at Pecheles Ford\/Toyota in Washington.&nbsp; The event was an antique<BR>car show and special guest was Cooter (Ben Jones) from the Dukes of Hazard<BR>television show.&nbsp; We had our pictures took with Cooter standing beside the<BR>General Lee.&nbsp; Cooter and his lovely wife were most personable.&nbsp; The weather<BR>couldn\'t have been better and the crowd was very responsive.&nbsp; We look forward<BR>to working with these fine people again soon<\/P>\n<P>On June 21, the band appeared at the third annual Got to be N. C. Festival at <BR>the State Fairgrounds in Raleigh for two shows.&nbsp; We had the honor of backing<BR>Charlie Albertson, \"The Singing Senator\", who currently has an internet hit, <BR>\"Leave the Man Alone\", about the infamous bust of Willie Nelson\'s band in <BR>Duplin County earlier this year.<\/P>\n<P>On June 26, we were happy to get to play for a big member\/guest party at <BR>Timberlake Country Club in Clinton.&nbsp; We had the honor of opening for eastern<BR>Carlina\'s premier party band, Spare Change.&nbsp; We went on at 7:00 P.M. and it <BR>was plenty hot, but when the sun went down, it was nice.&nbsp; Great food, good crowd<BR>to play for, thanks to all who participated.<\/P>\n<P>NEWLYWEDS!&nbsp; Our own Jssica Gardner and Jason Hochsprung were married <BR>on Aug. 7 in the chapel at Mt.
